Keep a look out for warping, blistering, bubbling, and rippling. Not only is this unattractive, but it can provide entry points for water. These are strong signs your siding is just plain worn out.

The only time your siding should be green is if that was the original color. Green growths and streaking indicate moss, algae, or lichen growth. These are usually an indicator of more significant, hidden moisture and water damage.

Harsh sunlight or frost and thaw cycles can wreak havoc on siding, causing cracking, fading, or peeling. These are signs your siding has reached the end of its protective lifespan. 

Higher than normal energy bills can be a strong indicator of worn out siding. Unseen gaps or holes, coupled with a lack of insulation, can lead to energy loss and create an uncomfortable living environment.

Even though siding might look great outside it could just be giving you a false sense of security. Moisture damage or mold growth inside your walls could point to serious structural issues, including problems with siding
